Industrial Placements

Each year we offer 7 Industrial Placements - 4 Science based placements and also 3 Business Support placements in Environmental Health & Safety, Human Resources and Strategic Partnering (Business Support). These are part of a structured programme. The Science placement opportunities are there to support students who have chosen a life sciences degree course which includes a year-long industrial placement. Science students at Allergan Biologics gain invaluable laboratory experience assisting and working alongside trained scientists in either our Process or Analytical Sciences Laboratories.

Examples of relevant courses/disciplines include, but are not limited to: Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Cell/Molecular Biology, Bioprocess Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Microbiology, Biomedical/Biological Sciences, Forensics, Molecular Biology and Genetics.

For our 2020/2021 cohort of Science students, we will be accepting applications from August until 23 October 2019 via our partnership with Cogent. Click here to view the job description for the Science roles and details on how to apply.

The Business Support roles for 2020/2021 will be advertised at end of October 2019.

We pay a competitive salary equivalent to £15,500 per annum and offer 25 days holiday in addition to UK Public Holidays and also 3 days holiday for Christmas shutdown.

Our scope of work focuses on developing innovative biologic products and advanced therapeutics allowing us to lead the way forward in the development of complex biopharmaceutical products.

As a student at Allergan Biologics you would gain valuable experience working alongside friendly, dedicated, experienced scientists on innovative biologics.

There’s no denying that ours is a demanding environment with innovation at the core of what we do - but for the right people, working at the Liverpool site will offer the stimulation, responsibility and reward.

It means we’re looking for undergraduates who thrive on challenge and who will relish the opportunity to make a real impact on our performance and profitability.

Because we’re all working together to achieve one goal, you’ll need to bring an open-minded approach, a real desire to share your ideas with others and a firm commitment to progressing your career with us.

In short, we’re looking for people who are passionate about science and learning, and who have the vision, energy, innovation and drive to match our own.
